Lockheed Martin awarded DoD cyber contract

Lockheed Martin has won a $454m contract from the US Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center to assist the agency in controlling cyber attacks on US government networks, a recurrent target of cyber criminals.

The company said its scope of work will include digital and multimedia forensics examination, analysis, research, development, test and evaluation, information technology and cyber analytical services.

Earlier last week, the company also won a $254.7 million contract to provide maintenance and operational support services for the US Defense Department’s civilian human resources system.
