Maritime security in the Mediterranean: Challenges and policy responses
15/06/2011
The 2011 Arab Spring has impacted Mediterranean security for the long-term. While work on this discussion paper started before the events in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Syria the existing problems have only been exacerbated and brought to the light of international media attention.
This paper continues the work started by the SDA's 2008 discussion paper, the question marks over Europe's Maritime Security. Experts on maritime security were invited to reassess the situation in light of the development of new technologies, the development of the EU's Integrated Maritime Policy, and the new political scenario.
The SDA is pleased to present the discussion paper
